If you’re an exercise professional who works with the general population, it’s probably true that a significant amount of your clients/patients will become pregnant or have been pregnant. However, unless you take a specialty pre/postnatal certification, most of our education doesn’t prepare you to assess the unique needs of moms, or design effective core and strength training programs that help them adapt to changes in their body during and after pregnancy, or meet the physical demands of motherhood.

The courses I developed are to provide highly qualified health and fitness professionals like you (with or without a specialty certification) with the education, practice, and confidence you need to meet the unique core and strength training needs of moms and boost your business.

I want to use my expertise and insight to enhance your confidence and skills in the growing field of mom fitness.

OPTION ONE: Live Interactive Workshops (3 hrs. each)

Prenatal Core, Function and Fitness: Training for Exercise Professionals (0.3 CEUS)

Description: We know that exercise during pregnancy can provide health benefits for both mom and baby, yet there is a huge gap for pregnant people between knowing that they ‘should’ exercise and actually knowing ‘how’ to exercise in a way that’s both safe and effective. You can be the expert your mom clients need and deserve.

After this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Develop a prenatal assessment that will give moms the confidence that you’re the right person to work with during pregnancy.

  • Design strength and core programs that are not just safe, but that will lessen the aches and pains of pregnancy so moms workout with you consistently through all 40 weeks of pregnancy

Postpartum Core, Function and Fitness: Training for Exercise Professionals (0.3 CEUS)

Description: Moms are cleared for exercise around 6-8 weeks postpartum. At that time abdominal tissue is still healing, their body is going through anatomical changes, they’re sleep deprived, they might be recovering from birth complications, and they haven’t exercised in at least two months (or possibly throughout their entire pregnancy). Moms need someone like you who not only understands the postpartum body but also all of the factors that impact new moms getting back to exercise.

After this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Develop a postpartum assessment that will make it obvious that your program is the best option for them during this stage of life

  • Design a progressive strength and core training program that takes into account common conditions like pelvic floor dysfunction and diastasis recti

  • Bonus content: how to enhance your business by collaborating with healthcare professionals
